Our Mission & Vision
The mission of Community Bible Church is to love God, to love others, and to magnify the name of Jesus Christ. The vision of our church is to glorify our God and Saviour, Jesus Christ, to make true disciples throughout all the nations by means of missionary activity and support, to minister the ordinances, to edify believers, and to do all that is sovereignly possible and biblically permissible to magnify the name of Jesus.
Leadership Team:
Our leadership team recognizes the authority of God, and realizes that we are shepherds who serve under the Chief Shepherd, Jesus Christ. We desire to devote ourselves to prayer and to the ministry of the Word. Our passion and goal is to equip the believers for the work of the ministry until we all attain maturity in the fullness of Christ.
Elder Alfred Drayton (Designate)
As the designate pastor, Elder Drayton has served at Berean Bible Church for approximately 5 years. He has a passion for seeing souls saved to God’s Kingdom.
Alfred Drayton Came to faith in Christ Jesus and repentance toward God around 1988. At an ISCF camp held in River Bay, St. Lucy, he acknowledged that he was a sinner in need of salvation through Jesus Christ (Rom 3:23). He learned that Jesus is the only means of salvation (Acts 4:12) and that we are justified by faith alone (Rom 5), in Christ alone (John 14:6).
At this time, he joined the Whitepark Wesleyan Holiness Church with a family who lived in his neighbourhood. He was baptised while at this church. By 1991, he associated with a counter-cult ministry headed by Mr. Sylvan Lashley, where he learned how to give an answer to those who questioned and distorted the faith (Jude 3, 1 Pet 3:15). In 1995, he joined the Nazarene where he remained until 2020 before joining the Berean Bible Church in 2021. In the Nazarene church he taught Sunday school, became youth president for one year and was vice president for many more. He sat on the church Board, led worship, served as treasurer, church secretary, and shared the Word from time to time.
He attended several church seminars on: Sunday School, Youth issues, and missions and Evangelism.
By June 2020 during the Covid-19 time he began visiting the Berean Bible Church on a regular basis and began helping in youth service, backing up in the worship service and sharing the Word occasionally. He and his wife then became members in 2021.
He first saw my wife at a church camp in 1996, began dating her in 1998 and married in 2002. They have one son, Yohann Drayton.
